The impact of quality and regulatory bodies on higher education quality in UAE

The features of the higher education system in the UAE are studied in the article. The effectiveness is assessed of state bodies in controlling quality of higher education in the UAE. The ways of development and improvement of the regulatory functions of the state in the country's educational sector are determined in the article as well. As such restrictions, first of all, it is proposed to introduce a program to ensure the quality control of educational services provided by private universities and foreign branches. It is also suggested to revise the standards of the qualification assessment system for professors and researchers. The resulting developments are universal in nature and may be applicable in national and international practice of quality management of higher education.
