The Development of The Practicum Modul for The Installation of Electric Motors Subject With EKTS Software to Improve Critical Thinking Skills
The practicum module is an important device in the learning process. The media used is in the form of the Electrical Control Techniques Simulator (EKTS). EKTS is the practicum module that simulates the work of a magnetic control system. With this software, the students can affect the control circuit along with its power control circuit and assemble various components, such as relays, switches, pushbuttons, contactors, timers. The validity of EKTS software-assisted practicum module is valid and feasible to use. The practicum module, which is assisted by EKTS software on electric motor installation subject, has the percentage score of 89.3%, post-test has a percentage result of 88%, and the RPP has a percentage result of 88%. The practicality of the practicum module is in a very practical category and very feasible to use, by obtaining an average percentage score of 86%. The effectiveness of the practicum module is obtained from the value of learning outcomes of critical thinking skills in the realm of knowledge and skills, which include the aspects of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, drawing conclusions, and explanations. The learning outcomes of critical thinking skills show the total student score of 2746 or an average value of 91.5. Thus, the average grade of the students from the 11th TITL-1 class of SMK Negeri 2 Bojonegoro is above the KKM or the minimum completeness criteria. It is categorized as very effective and very feasible to use. Teaching materials in the form of the module, assisted by EKTS software on electric motor installation subject, are appropriate to be used as a tool for students to study independently or in groups. Research in the development of practicum assisted module that is assisted by EKTS software in electric motor installation subjects is done by using the tools and materials that do not drain the cost and time during the project. There is a need to develop wider and more detailed material to deepen the learning material for electric motor installations subject and to broaden students' insight and understanding.
