Syntagma Is a Communicative and Cognitive Component of Speech

The article aims to define relationship of speech linguistics with cognition and communication. It has been proven that human speech became the basis for the communication, combination of words and speech, and cognition was used as a method for determining the semantics, meaning of words. It has been discovered that the speech and the interaction of words are phenomena related to human knowledge. Syntagma is not only words connection is formed in the flow of speech. Defining the ways of realization of the language of communication between people “syntagma” was considered as a unit of speech as well. It has been shown that each syntagma has unique to itself communicative semantics. Predictive syntagmas have been distinguished as a syntagma that defines the communicant model.  Communicative approach has been used to identify them. Using these methods the following results were obtained in the study of the syntagma: syntagma is classified as syntagmas of subject substance and as syntagmas of object substance; syntagma is considered as the basis of natural, social connections between substances and phenomena to the words contained in them. As a result, the syntagma of words is formed which conveys the meaning of one concept and represents the essence of a different concept, syntagma - semantic-syntactic and semantic-intonational status of speech. The semantics-syntactical status has two components, while the semantic-intonational status contains one or more than one component. The syntagma's status allows determining its function. The function of syntagma is to define the meaning of speech. In order to apply the results of the research, several levels of communicative tasks, cognitive tasks, and functional assignments have been given. Students from 15 to 20 years were involved in the experiment. Experimental results were shown.
