SWOT Analysis of the Postgraduate Program Faces the New Standard of University Accreditation in Indonesia Cases
Higher education accreditation as a benchmark of the performance in higher education. Therefore, universities have to prepare the accreditation process with the best results. The enactment of the new standards accreditation which based on self-evaluation requires universities to find out their strengths and weaknesses. This study aims to identify the readiness of the management of higher education at the Postgraduate Program at Surabaya State University or called Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) to self-evaluation for accreditation by integrating SWOT analysis. This study also used an observational research design to obtain a SWOT analysis component. Using quantitative methods by collecting respondents' answers consisting of university committees and postgraduate students to be analyzed. The findings reveal that component of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities; threats statistically strongly prove that there are differences between each component. While the test regarding differences in respondents' perceptions showed that there were no differences in perceptions of all respondents. This evidence would contribute to management in the form of policy strategies relating to dealing with accreditation with new standards and provides an analysis of the internal and external environment as a process of achieving the high quality of university performance.
