Training Components that Influence The Principals’ Self-Development And The School Improvement
The principal is the main variable that determines growth of the school organizations. Therefore, training for principals should be done regularly. The purpose of this study is to discover the training components that influence the principals’self-development and school improvement. This research was conducted in East Java, Indonesia, using explanatory research designs through multistage random sampling. The sample was taken from 130 principals, and structural equation modeling technique was used to analyze the data. The analysis results showed that the most dominant training component on the principals’ self-development was the suitability of the training with the needs of the principals. There was not a direct effect of the training components on the school improvement, and the principals’ self-development had a direct effect on the school improvement.
