THE SOCIAL FIELDS STUDENTS' DISTRESS IN LEARNING STATISTICS IN THE ERA OF PANDEMIC COVID-19
This research aimed to analyze the distress of social field students in learning statistics in the era of Pandemic COVID-19. This research was qualitative research with a phenomenology approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and an open questionnaire has developed by the researcher and given to social students of the University of Riau Province. There were 167 university students that filled open questionnaires and 6 university students that interviewed for completing this research. The obtained data from the field were analyzed using the qualitative approach. The research result was showed that the university students of the social field had difficulty in understanding statistics material. The university students had difficulty managing time to follow the classroom. The university students had difficulty in contacting the lecturer for asking the statistics task from lectures every week. The university students had difficulty collaborating with their friends. The university students had difficulties in collaborating with their friends that have understood the statistics material.
