Critical Thinking in Primary School: The Case of Gifted Children Aged 10-11
Modern life requires critical thinking, communication, the ability to adapt to a wide stream of media information and social events. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of critical thinking in gifted children before and after taking a course on its development. Schoolchildren who study in the gymnasiums of Moscow have voluntarily participated in the study. There are 47% of girls and 53% of boys among them, aged 10 to 11 years. To determine the level of giftedness, the authors have used the “Progressive Matrix Scale” methodology and the “Questionnaire for identifying gifted students”.
