A Decision Model for Integrated Hospital Capability Management Problem

  • Suryati Sitepu, Herman Mawengkang

The demands to get health services are swiftly escalating these days. This happens because of the rising populations. For inmate hospital care, capability management system needs data on beds and nursing staff capability. This paper introduces a deterministic capability model which provides awareness into necessary nursing staff capability and opportunities to increase the use of capability on a ward level. A capability model is established to compute the needed nursing staff capability. A mixed integer optimization is devised to illustrate the problem. A viable search approach is proposed for solving the model. As a computational experience we solve a capability management problem for a hospital located in Medan, Indonesia.
