The Contribution of an Employee's working Environment on Productivity in an Organization: The Case of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara in Indonesia
One of the factors that affect the productivity of employees in a company is the work environment and work culture, and these factors are closely related to improving employee productivity. A good working environment and good work culture can trigger better employee productivity. This study seeks to understand the relationships between work environment and employee work productivity, work culture and work productivity, work environment and work culture, working environment and work culture, work environment and work culture combined, and employee work productivity at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XIV (Persero). This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample was by random selection technique. Data was collected and analyzed to test the hypothesis set. The result of the product-moment correlation obtained r.count as 0.43. While the t.table of the product-moment correlation was at 5%, a significant level that obtained 0.304. Since r.count (0.43) > r.table (0.304), it can be concluded that H0 is accepted. There is a positive and also significant relationship between work environment and employee work productivity. The results obtained r.count(0.63)> r.table (0.304), indicating that H0 is accepted. It means there is a significant positive relationship between workplace culture and work productivity. Moreover, results obtained r.count (0.42) > r.table (0.304), meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between work environment and work culture. The calculation of results obtained Fh = 13.59. This price subsequently consulted with the F table (Ft), with the dk numerator = k and the dk denominator = (n-k-1), with a set error rate of 5%, so Ft = 3.26. Therefore Fn (13.59) >Ft (3.26). Conclusively, there is a positive and significant relationship between work environment and work culture and employee work productivity.
