Civilizing Moderate Character Based on Islamic Education (PAI) Learning

This research aims to find out further about moderate moral knowing based on Islamic Education learning, moral feeling based on Islamic Education learning, and moral act based on Islamic Education learning at Stated Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Grogol Kediri and Stated Senior High School (SMAN) 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk. This study used a qualitative approach to the type of multi-case. The researchers captured an exciting aspect from two moderate characterizations on two research loci using character theory to see the character acculturation through moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral act explanations. The results of this study indicate that: moral knowing of students related to the moderate character in two research loci is running well, considering that they are accustomed to applying moderate character indicators in their daily life. Moreover, they get a further explanation about character moderate in Islamic Education, making their basis of moral knowing deeply rooted. It can be proven that the ability of students to mention some moderate characters, such as mutual respect, open-mindedness, good teamwork, and so on.
